This past weekend I took a trip to Charlotte. I was reminded of how five years ago, I received an acceptance letter to UNC Charlotte and I was elated. My financial aid would have covered everything and I made a plan to attend UNC for two years and then transfer to NYU. Unfortunately that is not how things went at all. Oftentimes our plans are the completely opposite of the actual trajectory of our life. I'm reminded of Proverbs 16:9, "A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps." Even if life doesn't go as plan, you shouldn't live in regret. Everything—everything—happens for a reason. And God's plans for you are greater than anything you could imagine or hope for. Trust Him.
